About Ballistic
Ballistic is all about saving time. We know how frustrating it can be to know you once used or saw a specific technology or syntax, but you are unable to remember the details now, or even find the resource where you first read about it again.
By focusing on a clean and simple user experience, Ballistic helps you to retrieve those lost pieces of information in just a couple of seconds. It features a rich search function, alongside a powerful graph model of all your notes and code snippets, allowing you to follow the links between your different data pieces. As such, you only need to know vaguely what you're looking for, and Ballistic's graphical interface will do the rest.
Who's building Ballistic?
Ballistic is being build by Glenn Viroux, a freelance software developer from Antwerp, Belgium.
I've been working as a freelance developer for some time now, and one thing I found out was that I was losing a lot of time trying to remember where and when I read about a specific best practice, or how a certain setup was done.
My learning process is never an organized, fixed block of time in my schedule. Instead, I read through articles, blog posts, forums etc. on a daily basis, and often jumping from one topic to another.
I started building Ballistic in an effort to help myself and other developers like me with organizing and linking their thoughts, so we can easily find them again in the future.
